COVID-19 Service update
At Dickie Bow we are actively monitoring the rapidly evolving coronavirus situation. Royal Mail postal service is a key part of the delivery of orders and stock. During this time we are experiencing some delays of upto a week of 1st class orders being delivered. We are working as hard as possible to minimise these delays.
Signing for and receiving items
In order to protect both our people as much as possible, Royal Mail are minimising contact during delivery. We will not be handing over our hand-held devices to customers to capture signatures but instead log the name of the person accepting the item.
Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm
For items posted from Thursday 19 March 2020 onwards, Royal Mail no longer guarantee deliveries by 1pm the next working day. Royal Mail will still prioritise Special Delivery parcels and letters and will aim to deliver by 1pm or before the end of day.
Public Health England (PHE) has advised that people receiving parcels are not at risk of contracting the coronavirus. From experience with other coronaviruses, we know that these types of viruses don’t survive long on objects, such as letters or parcels.
